Would the US be better off now if the Civil War had gone the other way?

Imagine the south had won the civil war. Sure, slavery would have existed for a little bit longer but I doubt it would have made it to 2024, that shit was ending all over the world and it was just a matter of time.

In return, we'd have two countries that would probably have developed along the same ideological splits as MAGA vs Woke, only people with the opposing view could just emigrate and the cultures would have long ago agreed (probably by treaty after the southern victory) that they stay out of each others' internal affairs.

Would the state of those nations be better than what we've got now?
