Vision Statement

The r/hypnokink subreddit is a forum for the purpose of furthering the art of erotic hypnosis through collaborative discussions and knowledge sharing. The subreddit aims to connect people dedicated to honing their skills and expanding their knowledge in erotic hypnosis in partnership with each other on a regular basis.

The subreddit is a forum for collaborative discussion first and foremost, and only secondarily a space for socializing. This is not intended to replace other subreddits and other forums aimed at catering to hookups, files, content creators, and fiction.

Here, I hope to encourage egalitarian and collaborative learning, and strive to avoid pedestalizing effects, cults of personalities and cliques. I also hope, in time, to bridge gaps with science and other related traditions such as neo-western tantra, bdsm and other communities that seek altered experiences and states in order to build a space where disparate silos can come together to share what we know and how we make sense of our experiences.

This is perhaps an ambitious project but I am hoping we can catch lightning in a bottle and further our understandings together.
