Just a few weeks ago by blood pressure was consistently around 140/90 to 148/100.
Now after a few changes, I am now consistently around 135/86. And last night was my best reading yet at 124/86! I even checked it twice because I couldn't believe it, and it was the same both times. This is my first time really tracking my BP at home, I only know what my BP is from doctors visits which have always been 140/90 average. No doctor has ever made a comment about it either probably because I was in my late 20's and early 30's. Not sure.
I (34/m) have stopped drinking alcohol and caffeine, I started walking a minimum of 30min per day (some days 45min ), and I started drinking 1 raw (and homemade) fruit and veggie juice every morning. This week has been a juice made up of beet, kale, cucumber, lemon and ginger. I am also trying to drink a lot more water and avoid salty foods and seasonings.
I made a subtle improvement in just 3 weeks, and I am looking forward to seeing what happens the next couple of months! I stopped caffeine and alcohol mainly because my anxiety and panic attacks were kicking my ass. I am less on edge now and feel so much better. As much as I love a good beer and a good cold brew, I am not sure if I can ever go back.
