I’m an artist that takes commissions, but they burn me out when they don’t relate to my interests. I’ve been thinking about doing NSFW commissions to hopefully keep me motivated instead, but I also worry about the logistics (my libido is distracting enough as it is). Is it a bad idea to blur the lines between my work life and an already difficult-to-contain condition?

I’ve done NSFW commissions before but never as a focus point (I don’t brand myself as a porn artist nor do I want this to be tied back to my public name in case of future job background checks), so I still feel like this is new territory. I don’t even know how I should price my work appropriately, I feel like it should be higher given the nature of the subject/market.

This feels like a niche dilemma, but I’m curious if anyone has had a similar situation or advice.
