I'm glad that we're talking about how many members here hold others (and themselves) to a too-high standard for hygiene, because it sounds weird but many parts of life are not perfectly hygienic. Some of us skimp on necessary things like showering regularly because of mental disorders or not being taught properly how to clean oneself when we were younger, but there are also smaller things like using hand sanitizer after touching anything or never swimming in the ocean that, while technically more hygienic than not doing so, aren't exactly realistic standards.
So, what are some hygiene things y'all lack on that might get you flamed in this sub? My big one amidst the Ass-Wiping Armageddon on here is that I only use toilet paper––I don't have a bidet and don't carry wipes around. I just keep wiping with a fresh square until it comes out 100% clean. I also have 12 ear piercings that mostly only get washed in the shower, and I remove the jewelry once a month to clean them with saline and apply Vitamin E oil. Some people would say I have horrifically disgusting jewelry rotting away the skin of my ear, but really the area is perfectly clean and healthy and this is normal practice for piercings. Curious to hear what y'all's are!
Shaving my legs 🥲🥲
