Are you told you always stink? Here are something’s to consider.
Post Body

I see a lot of posts about people who are doing all of the right things but still suffer from odor issues. If you shower everyday (wash your special spots with a clean washcloth, loofah or hands for 30 seconds each, including rinsing) and you still can’t find the source of your odor or smell, then consider the following.

My question for you is, do you have indoor animals?

I’m a home health RN and have a few patients whose homes are unkempt. One of my patients has 2 dogs and a cat. The odor of animal urine overpowers the senses. He’s a long time patient and I can provide proper wound care relatively quickly. I time it every time I get in and out. Even in 7 minutes, I walk out and can smell the odors in my clothing. (Don’t give me hell, his wound is progressing nicely.)

My point is, he can’t smell it due to being nose blind from chronic exposure.
Even after 5 min, I am not gagging anymore.

Consider assessing your home for odors such as, smoke, adult incontinence, animal urine or excessive garbage lying around or food.

You may not be able to smell it, but we can.

If it’s your parents house, the only thing you can do is make them aware or change your clothing after you leave. Maybe cover your hair while in the home too.

Just a thought

Edit: please stop arguing in the comments about cat vs dogs. Neither is better than the other. Just be a good owner and clean. I’m not talking about regular healthy animal owners in this post.

I also don’t want to talk about essential oils either. My vet laughed when I asked worryingly about using it in my washer to clean twice a month.

  • much love

lol I have this issue and so does my bf and everyone I know with cats 😂 I assume it’s breathing in whatever the litter box lets off.

I notice people with cats will have cat breathe.
