I have been checking the price of an independent 3 BHK house in Hyderabad on 99acres and Zillow for Chicago. They both seem to be averaging around half a million dollars.
The only difference I noticed is that houses in Hyderabad have more square footage. Which I don't if it's because of some difference in the way properties are measured in these two cities?
Either way.... How are people in Hyderabad able to afford a 3.7 crore Villa :| At 1 lakh a month, it will take 370 months/30 years just to pay off the principal if you were to take a loan for that amount. Basically all of your adult life.
Edit: Also, for half a million dollars, you can also get a 3 BHK on the outskirts of London. It might take you an hour to hour an half to commute to work, but hey you get free healthcare, free education for your kids, proper infrastructure, a relatively clean city and unlike the US no gun violence and unrestricted abortions. And unlike US, you can actually become a citizen in UK in 5 years. And also, you actually have a better chance of completely paying off your mortgage in London unlike Hyderabad. So... What the fuck Hyderabad?
