Random Thoughts On 2 Years with Hyatt
Post Body

In no particualr order:

  1. A regular of this sub knows more about Hyatt than the people on the Globalist Line.

  2. The opening hours for resort amenities is frustrating. Why should a beach resort close its pool at 7 PM? Put away the Kayaks at 5 PM when sunset is at 8 PM? Why not.

  3. I have been pronouncing Andaz wrong this whole time. It is Auhn-das and not Ann-dez?

  4. The Concierge line is much better than the Globalist line.

  5. It pays to keep track of your points and awards, as Hyatt regularly screws them up. This can work in your favor though when they fail to pull your points or awards from your account.

  6. The posters on Flyertalk are much more demanding that they posters on this sub. I almost canceled Grand Hyatt Shanghai after reading such negative reviews on FlyerTalk, but we kept it and had a great time. The mood here seems a lot more relaxed and forgiving.

  7. SUAs are much easier to use in Asia than in North America.

  8. I had to delete the Hyatt app from my phone because I was spending too much time looking up hotels and points availability.
