Options for Niagra Falls, Ontario?

Globalist. Early planning stages for a July trip to the Canadian side of the falls. Only close Hyatt option I see is Hyatt Place on the NY side. Not quite fancy enough for my wife's 50th birthday.

I see there are Mariott and Hilton properties ( where I have no status) overlooking the falls, which is probably nice... but does that get boring after a couple of days?

Is it better to stay at Park Hyatt in Toronto and take a day trip to the falls and another few days to enjoy more of what Toronto has to offer?
