Aprilaire humidifier question
Post Body

I have an aprilaire 550 unit that didn't work all last year and messed with my sinuses pretty badly. So I took a look at it and after researching online, I found the solenoid was bad.

After replacing it, I am now getting water to the pad. But it is only delivering water and clicking on when I turn the knob to 40 or over and will continue to run if the furnace is not on.

I turned off the power and saw that 2 wires run directly from the humistat to a board on my trane furnace and 2 wires to the solenoid. There is nothing else between them.

Any help would greatly be appreciated :) thanks!
