Does polarity matter when hooking up these zone control valves to a boiler system?

Pretty confident I can swap this zone controller motor out just fine myself. I watched a video on YouTube of a guy doing one and he mentions in the video that it’s not that important to get the polarity correct when hooking these wires up?

That’s really my only concern. I have several zones here so, I know the yellow wires connect to the thermostat and the red wires connect to the boiler. What I don’t want to do, is mix the polarity up and fry a thermostat or the boiler board. I know it’s 24V DC Lo-Vo, but I figured I’d check with you all first before I go screwing around with it.

So, can I just take the old, rusted open motor off, and put this one on, connect the yellow leads to the thermostat wire and the red leads to the red wires I have down here?

If not, I have a multi meter with little to no knowledge on how to set it up to test for this so, could someone kindly provide have simple instruction on how to test polarity so I know which wires go to which?

Thanks in advance!
