Been getting quotes for new furnaces and A/C units for my ranch house in NW Ohio. I’m ditching my old Electric furnace and going with propane. My question is I like the idea of a 2 stage gas furnace but I find it contradicting to get a heat pump A/C unit. I think it’s a good idea to get a 2 stage cooling unit but I feel like getting a heat pump defeats the 2 stage of furnace. I know there’s rebates out right now for tax incentives but I’m not worried about getting money back when I can save myself maintenance cost in the future. Thanks
