Combined or separate thermostats?
Post Body

Trying to decide best set up for our situation. We are replacing our standard central AC that crapped out this summer with Bosch heat pump. The new unit will be 1 zone for whole house (2 floor colonial). Current main heat is baseboard oil in 3 zones (1 upstairs and 2 on main floor). Option 1 would be upstairs thermostat to control heat pump for whole house and baseboards for upstairs only. Option 2 would be heat pump has its own thermostat and baseboards all remain separate/the way they are. We are leaning more towards 2. Thoughts?
