So I just inherited a 92 single wide trailer that was remodeled sometime prior to 2004 it has a bath fitter tube to help date the remodel. I am also very handy and can’t afford to hire anyone but I have a very strong mechanical and computer science background but limited electrical knowledge.
I can’t get my ac or heat to turn on at all. I have confirmed there is no power at the thermostat , I even tested every lead while grounded into a socket and get nothing . So I was told to look at the furnace because they’re all connected and feel like this is the problem area but don’t really know what to do or what to test. I’m going to start removing wire nuts and try to find something hot , I did notice something was plugged into the furnace and tested that outlet and there was no power. Also I noticed a sticker pretty much saying if the furnace ain’t working the thermostat won’t work
I’ve included a picture of the thermostat and the sticker.
I kinda understand what the sticker says I’m going to try to find that relay and verify it is working.
Any help or advice or maybe a method to bypass the furnace and get power to the thermostat so I can see if this A/C works ( I believe it should based on what I was told )
