Install quote sanity check…
Good evening/morning….
I have a dual zone system in a 2700sqft house. Currently have two Trane 2 ton heat pumps (XB 10) that are 21 years old. Upstairs unit compressor is done. Received a quote to replace both units and upgrade one from heat pump to gas furnace. I would love to hear if this price attached is remotely reasonable. I live in SE Virginia for a regional comparison. Some facts about the install….
- Outdoor units are both on a raised platform about 3 ft up.
- Upstairs unit blower/coils are in attic but is fairly accessible.
- Was told no electrical needs to be changed but downgrading from a 10kw to 8kw backup heater.
- I had local utility install gas at my house to prep for this swap. Gas line was pre run and install would only need about 10ft of hard line plus flex line and exhaust.
- Quoting me on American Standard brand
- This is supposed to be with a 10% active military discount 🤷🏻♂️
I’m open to any questions to help, just want to know how fair this quote is. Thanks in advance everyone. And if you are in my area or know someone who is that wants to earn my business please help.
