Please help me understand foam. I just installed a new roof with ridge vents throughout. My HVAC Guy who installed a brand new 95% efficiency furnace and AC is pushing foam insulation for the attic. My understanding is that foam needs to be 100% sealed for it to yield the benefits being claimed (he did not mention this). Unless he completely seals off the ridge vents I paid good money for, the foam insulation is not worth doing? I'm thinking of doing standard spray insulation instead. Correct me if I'm wrong. Thank you! 🙏🏽
