Both these were take from the first floor ceiling. The first photo is an angled duct and its next to a light fixture and its smooshed with a tear. The angled duct pushes air straight down. The second photo has no leak but without an angled duct and dusty. This home is fairly new and my guess the leak is the reason its not dusty. 1. How do i fix the leak, im thinking HVAC tape or use the same plastic metal wire hose as a sleev about 6โ€ long and tape and ends? 2. The one without an angeled duct should i change it or modify it to be angled to make air flow aim down?

I apologize if i misuse any terms. Please let me know any doโ€™s and donโ€™tโ€™s
