Humidifier question
Post Body

I have a heat pump with a two stage gas LP furnace as the backup. I was switching the humidifier to winter and was checking to see if the water was coming into the unit and it’s not. Tested the humidistat with my meter and it’s working, but I’m not getting 24v at the solenoid when the unit is calling for heat. It’s not real cold out so it’s running the heat pump. It looks like the feed to the humidistat comes off W1, which I think is the second stage, correct? So does that mean that the humidifier won’t run when it’s running the heat pump? If so, is that the correct way or should it run with the heat pump as well? Thanks in advance!
