Hello all. I had a new furnace and central ac unit put in my house. New fancy thermostats too. However, the blower fan runs 24/7. For instance right now. I have it set to AC. To 70 degrees. It cools the house to 70. The outside compressor kicks off. But the blower fan still runs forever until it needs to cool again. Then kicks the compressor on for a bit. Same for heat. Blower fan runs non stop and adds gas when needed.
Is this normal? I’ve never had a unit do that. Usually it just shuts off all together then kicks back on when needed.
It’s a rheem unit. I checked the thermostat fan is set to auto. And not “on”.
Maybe it’s just how the new units are. I know my mini split I have in the garage stays on all the time as well.
Thank you
