So I have a AAM7a0C48H41SAA air handler.. (It's been great..) No problems for the most part..
A few years ago the fuse blew.. (1st time it'd happened and I didn't know where the fuse was) A guy came out realized he didn't have the same fuse. Took the fuse holder out, put one in that he had.. (the white plastic one that looked alot cheaper, and essentially broke from the heat in the attic (about 2 years ago we had almost 110 outside.. attic was like 120.. The thin plastic couldn't handle it..
I see it's not sticking together call hvac guy.. Same guy comes out.. goes up (my ex was here) tells her he fixed it.. Charged $300.. found out he wrapped it with electrical tape.. to hold the fuse thing together. UGH
So last year I got someone else to come out. They took a look at it, said they weren't positive of the correct fuse, and would have to get back to me. Never did, and I've called them a dozen times. I've been told their researching (FYI it's been a year)
So I looked up the model etc.. Found the original fuse holder ( what I could figure out was it), and I just replaced it. It's the red/black one. ( FUS01776) which according to what I found online should be the right one.
But I'm a bit freaked out.. lol.. As the white cheap ass one was a 3 1/2 amp but looked alot less beafy.. (agc-3-1/2 bus) and the new one which is a Trane replacement fuse says 300vac and 3.2 amp on it.
I guess I'm just double checking myself. I did turn it on, HVAC seems to be working/cooling the house.. But last thing I need is for it to pop middle of the night/break something..
