A/c stopped working

My ac has stopped working its a 2.5 ton unit about 4 years old made by intertek.no power to the thermostat on the wall could this be a capacitor problem or I see a board where they are could it have gone bad.Any help will be appreciated as I live in a really small town and can't get anyone out till next week
