Hello experts! Go easy on me because I understand this answer could go either way. My master bedroom return air vent is on the floor, the bedroom stays pretty darn warm (vaulted ceilings aren’t helping) so I put my portable AC unit in the window to aid the full system while I sleep.
It got me thinking… is it brilliant or just downright stupid of me to think it works to vent my portable AC exhaust directly into my return vent? The vent is supposed to exhaust warm air anyways… and now I won’t have to have my insulated windows partially open to make room for the dinky plastic piece that holds the exhaust.
Anyways, like I said, I’m prepared to hear that this is a dumb idea, just figured I’d ask the pros!
