I have to write this one out, I don't normally post. A while ago my Husky rescue Chinook got hooked on stringless sugar snap peas. I ended up giving them to him on his dinner and it's near a regular thing for him now. Much high value treat.
I fed him dinner this evening as usual. I then went to check on my sleeping baby. My Husky comes down the hall and whines. He leads me back to his dish outside the kitchen and I watch him delicately pick at the kibble at the outer edge of the bowl. I first thought there was something wrong with the food in the middle of the dish. I looked deeper into the bowl and saw one single pea out of the pod, stuck inbetween a couple kibble there at the side of the bowl.
After eating his pea pods first, he had trouble getting the last pea in his bowl, crossed the house to whine to get me, so I could help him get his last pea that he was having trouble with. This dog. 😅
