Bend in hurl

Hi everyone. I received a brand new hurl yesterday by post, but there is a very slight bend in it. I have to season it yet and was looking for advise. I'm away for the weekend so was thinking of hanging it with a big bag of linseed oil around the bás, taped on. Should I maybe weather it first with a bit of weight on the bend? Thanks
Also, if anyone is wondering why I don't send it back, I wrote my name on it before I spotted it :)
