Nah. I don’t like him that much, but I’m happy he’s in the show. I dislike him cause of his whole thing about vampires just being leeches and evil fundamentally, which is just flat out wrong. Look at Kevin, look at D who knows so much more about the horrors of vampires but still treats them as human.
Door is a necessary character, but I can’t bring myself to like him, even if I do enjoy his presence. He do be funny tho
I counter: Kevin
Expanding on that, Vampirism isn’t a choice, it’s a curse placed upon others. No vampire chooses to need blood, and while most fall in line when the only people who can give them community and life are those backstabbing assholes, they become backstabbing assholes. However many other vampires either choose to die on day one, or survive off of animal blood, like Vampire Vegans
Door has limited experience, and likely hasn’t met any of these vampires because D only hunts or goes after those who are actually harming people. Had he brought Door to see the old woman, he likely wouldn’t have given her the peaceful death that D did.
Vampires are not monsters inherently, they are simply sick, and the only way they become sick is when the powerful wish to have new members, as any good vampire wouldn’t reproduce.
He is objectively wrong, both within the universe of WOD, and the show, Kevin being living proof of that
Yes, but he’s far more sadistic about it. With Kitten, he’s clearly copeing, and trying to not be merciful. When he sees Ape getting brutally killed he feels awful, dispite his attempts to be ruthless. Markus is the same, with him feeling bad about what they did to them. Yes, they are hunters, and yes they chose to do that to the vamps, but that’s not the point I’m making. All three of them made the choice, but while Kitten and Markus felt like they made the wrong choice, Door feels justified in his actions

I know that he doesn’t know better. He’s ignorant, but that doesn’t make him right by any means. Not to mention, he clearly enjoys torturing and abusing Vampires. If he really was just about being efficient, he’d just get the info he needs and then kill them, not start commentating on a wrestling match
Ignorance is no excuse when he makes the choice of cruelty
