Can anyone tell my the origin of my surname?

So my grandpa always told me we were descendants of Czechoslovakia. He spoke Slovak growing up but lost it later on. We checked the census when his family was in the US and his mother put down the family is actually from Hungary.

So I was seeing if you guys could clear up our last name and why they spoke Slovak but origins of Hungary.

The last name is “Ungvarsky.”
