Hi everyone, I’m a French and English speaker who wants to learn Hungarian, firstly because I have family there but also because I really care about my roots. Unfortunately my father never spoke to me in Hungarian but I spent enough time with family to have a very basic vocabulary. 15 years ago I enrolled in courses in Budapest for 3 weeks but came out disappointed to have learned so little.

I am not looking for a free resource, just the best way to learn. I’ve tried Duolingo but am wondering if I shouldn’t look for a teacher or more formal program. I live in Canada, would anyone have suggestions? I’m willing to put in time and resources. Thanks
