I’ve been thinking about this for quite some time. And I haven’t completely figured it out. But I know that many enjoy witnessing their partner getting degraded in front of them. Seeing your partner, the person you love, trust, that YOU chose to be in your life, humiliated right in front of you - on paper that should be a „I’ll come to your rescue“-moment (and outside of sexual context it most likely is for the most of us, too), but within that humiliation realm it feels kinda hot.

And I think it works from pretty much all angles. I watch my partner get humiliated: Hot, because someone I love is getting attacked, and thus, by extension, I am too. I also could defend them, but I don’t. Because I secretly agree with the degradation they experience? Am I secretly unhappy with their shortcomings that are so heartlessly displayed? Am I turned on by seeing this better, stronger, smarter, more beautiful person show my partner how inferior they are because in this moment there is someone who wants me who is so much more than my partner? Is there a cheating aspect to it, does it show my secretly opportunistic nature? Does it simply show how ruthlessly nature works at the end of the day: Someone better turns me on —> I go with them instead. Knowing my partner witnesses this teaches them a lesson.

It also of course works from the other three sides. The dominant part enjoys the dominance over not one, but two participants, watching them both fall apart under his/her thumb, and the degraded partner gets their degradation kink fulfilled.

Anyone here loves to get degraded in fron of their partners? I’d love to hear your take on this. But all the others too, of course.
