"So Glepn how was your trip to earth? Did the cultural exchange go well? Learn anything about those new humans? I hear those humans have some of the most interesting traditions. Especially on traditions of war." Said Haroo sitting next to his friend on a bench on a empty street

"They win" Glepn said with a grimace

"Win at? War? Not to doubt your words Glepn but your a musician and..."

"No Haroo!, I wasn't talking about war. I was talking about music." Glepn said quick and sharp like a maldisiens claws

"What?" replied Haroo taken aback by what he just heard

"You heard me. They win, I admit defeat"

"But how would that even work. Music isn't something to be fought and squandered for. It's something to be made for all to enjoy."

"You my friend are so wrong. We musicians make music to experience like no other. We strive to create a new sound, melody, tempo, beat, entire genres. And every peice is to make these experiences just that much better." Said Glepn with sorrow in his four eyes

"Ok so what makes these humans so much better?" Asked Haroo

"They make it out of everything.!" Glepn said with a thousand yard stare

"Ok and?"

"You don't get it. For every species they will have a breakthrough in culture ever so often. The music average is 100 earth years."

"Earth years, why are you using earth years?" Haroo said tilting his head

"Well all be using them soon. As I was saying the average for music is 100 earth years. And for that time the newly crafted music genre or whatever it is is celebrated as a victory for the culture it intails. Humans on the other hand do this every earth year multiple times."

"What?! No way. This has to be some massive ruse your playing on me."

"I wish it was my friend, I wish it was. But it isn't. They make amazing songs, beats, melodys, entire genres can be made like it's nothing for them."

"That's crazy, but how can they do that? They must have only so many instruments."

"That's the thing. To humans everything is a instrument. The skin of animals, the metal from their planet. They even use the sun that gives their solar system life as a way to sing their songs." Glepn said with melancholy

There was a pause before Glepn continued to let him swallow his pride and say such dreadful words.

"And the worst part of it all is that, it's good. For most cross culture experiences something is missed in translate of the soul. It's to specific to the culture. But humans, humans have this incomprehensible ability to make you feel exactly what they wanted you to feel with no hesitations. Crying voices that make you weep. Heart pumping beats that make you feel unstoppable. It is like your consciousness has been taken to the realm of absolute excess of experience and gave you a ticket free of charge."

"Well it can't be all that great if I have yet to hear of it." Haroo said as he leaned back in disbelief

"Oh but you will. You have yet to hear of it because not only have the humans only recently come onto the stage of the galaxy, but the government is trying to keep it locked up."

"Why would the government want to lock up some newbie species music?"

"For fear that it will cause unrest in the population. Wen I heard what the humans called "death metal" I wanted nothing more than to absolutely cause as much destruction as possible."

"But that's not you, that's not who we are."

"Oh but it is, for after a while I did cause chaos and I got into so many fights that I nearly died that day."

"Well ok so their good at music, we can still do other things."

"No we can't. They aren't just good at music, they are good at everything artistic. They master the powers that be and like a species of gods make works so good that we can only learn their language to understand as it would be a travesty to try to interpret their masterpieces. "So what that's it? Humans are just these "gods" at making art?"

"Yes, and there is not a thing we can do about it, as you can only learn so much before your own limits come in the way. Humans don't have those limits."
