Question about HSA and FICA
Post Body
It is to my understanding that employee HSA contributions are tax-advantaged and are exempt from FICA taxes for Social Security and Medicare.
However, is the income that is being contributed to the HSA account FICA exempt for the employer side as well?
We do not contribute to the HSA, but employees contribute via payroll deductions.
If there is any other information that needs to be provided before the question can be answered, let me know, thank you!
