I remember a Hollywood star being asked why she enjoyed playing the role of villains. She replied that she felt that deep inside every villain truly believes that they are reaching for a goal that is good. At first it seemed pretty odd but on contemplation it makes sense so now Iβm thinking about what is the most compassionate way to get through to them that if people have to be killed to obtain their goals then they are not going about it humanly. I guess the big question is why is it okay for politicians to order their opponents to be killed and have the world just stand and watch while the dictator becomes more powerful but itβs okay to kill a murderer in the act to keep them from obtaining their goal?
