Any advice/tips?

I got a huion kamvas 24 for Christmas, but it hasn’t been working properly. It always says device disconnected when my computer Is clearly plugged in, the pen doesn’t work on my computer. I’ve tried everything. Updating my computer to the newest version, switching cables, re downloading the drive, emailing huion for help, everything. I connected it to my mother’s computer to see if it was the kamvas maybe but it works perfectly fine. Any help anyone? I have a MacBook Air if this can help.
