Huion Pe330 NEW pen not working /UNLESS/ plugged in for charge.

Hello!
I recently bought a new pen for my GT-156 tablet after losing the original one, and left the new one charging for over 3 hours already, yet it doesn't work on my tablet even though it should be charged in 1.5 hours?
When I tried to use it while still plugged in with the charging cable it works.
I reinstalled the drivers and restarted my laptop, and nothing has changed.
