Just got my tablet today and noticed that when the pointer gets about 2/5 of the way down the screen there seems to be an invisible line across the width of the screen that as soon as the pointer crosses it, it jumps about a centimeter up or down depending on which direction I'm going.
The odd thing is that if I engage the stylus (Press it on screen.) and go across that line, it doesn't jump, but as soon as I disengage and just hover the stylus, the pointer jumps again. Which leads me to think it's a driver issue/conflict and not a hardware defect (I hope. I've dealt with Huion customer "support" in the past and would like to avoid ever having to do that again.).
Things I've tried:
- Installing newest.
- Installing older drivers.
- Disabling windows' native tablet drivers (Tablet PC.).
- Different HDMI port (On board).
- Different USB port.
- Reinstalling Windows.
Edit: Was just playing around with flipping the screen in the drivers and sure enough, it stopped doing it when I flipped the screen, but when I flipped it back it started doing it, then stopped, then started again as well as the pointer jumping to the right when I engaged the stylus under the invisible line, and then it stopped again, and now it's jumping again. Fun times.
Edit 2: It's definitely software related. I changed the work area in the settings (Shrunk it vertically.) and the invisible line moved down from where it is with the full work area active. So there's definitely a driver issue going on.
Edit 3: Tried flipping the display again, and it's still doing it on the same spot, regardless of orientation in the drivers.
Edit 4: After spending the afternoon troubleshooting and looking around online, it seems I'm not the only one who had issues with this type of thing. Apparently the issue was known to Huion shortly after release of the pro 16, and they explicitly said they don't intend to fix it because it's a "Minor issue". So that's it, I'm done with this company. I'm not going to keep a product when I effectively can't use the bottom quarter of the screen. Gonna spend tomorrow fighting with them to send it back and get a refund tomorrow (Something they jump through hoops to avoid. Usually you have to go through your credit card company and file a dispute.) and never touch another Huion product as long as I live. This is the second tablet I've bought from them (Bought an H610 years ago.), and they both had issues on arrival.
Anyone reading this thinking of buying a Huion tablet, DON'T DO IT!. Avoid them at all costs.
