A6-5400k not good enough?
Post Body

I have quite a large media library and I use plex for streaming content. Most of my downloads are low quality 720 br rips from yify with very low bitrates (.9mbps-1.5mbps). When I do encounter a 1080p rip with a higher bitrate (say 5mbps), the server has serious issues with transcoding.

Anyways, I'm going to upgrade my home rig soon and was wondering if I should bother putting my old FX-8350 along with 16GB DDR3 1866mhz RAM in my plex server to boost transcoding. Currently it struggles to transcode higher than low bitrate 720p with an AMD A6-5400k APU.
