I'm using an Alienware pc with windows 10 for my htpc. I've got a Plex Media Server running on it. Currently, I use my Xbox One as my media player but i'd like to move over to using the PC for everything. So - this is where I run into problems - i need to make this incredibly simple for my wife and kids. I need to be able to use a regular remote just like a tv or cable box remote and it would be helpful if i could customize the buttons to launch apps on the pc (Plex, Netflix, Pandora, etc). I would also like to know if anyone has figured out a way for Amazon prime video to run through an app instead of using the browser. Just curious. I don't want to use a phone as a remote and i'm already using an Bluetooth keyboard for myself but that wont cut it when the rest of the family wants to use it. I appreciate any helpful advice here.
