Seriously the blu-Ray scene on PC is insane. It's either 1) Rip all your blurays (which in my case isn't an option) 2) pay over $100 for software that doesn't even work on all of them.
So I know of leawo, but it doesn't work well for me. The menus barely work, subtitles don't work, there is no working menu button. VLC with the relevant libraries isn't enough (disk won't work).
AnyDvD's trial works with VLC, but again the menus are an option. Powerdvd works beautifully with the menus, but again, the price tag is too high for just a few occasional movies and shows. (QE: also powerdvd skips when I pausing, leawo doesn't. Idk if it's a disk parking issue, doesn't seem so though)
And I don't want a blu ray player on my desk, not to mention getting them to work with headphones is near impossible if they dont support rca.
Edit: not even free necessarily. Just not exorbitant and half functional. Regret putting that in the title, I was just trying to avoid the instant powerdvd recommendation).
