My Experiences with HTC Customer Service
Post Body

This is in regards to my recent experience with HTC's customer service due to having the purple tint camera issue & a dead pixel in the front cam.

So the first thing I did was go to HTC.com where I found their live chat. I had learned through this subreddit that it was possible for them to send out a loaner phone, receive/fix/send my repaired phone, and then I send the loaner phone back with a prepaid label they would email. In this day and age, being without a phone has become "weird" #firstworldproblems and this was a blessing.

I mentioned the possibility of a loaner phone to the person in the chat and she asked for my address, phone number, carrier, etc. and I even had my camera sensor's info to send her just to help out with the process (thanks to this subreddit I knew where to look).

They were supposed to call at a time I specified (2 days after the chat), but never did. Then a few days later I randomly received a call letting me know that a loaner phone had been sent and it would arrive the next day.

Sure enough, I got a package the next day..they had sent me an HTC Evo 4G LTE! Not quite the One of course, but definitely a decent phone. For about a day prior to shipping my own phone out, I felt pretty cool with 2 phones in my hand :3

I activated the loaner phone, shipped mine off, and went on with life for a bit. Repairs got done pretty quick and it was just last week when I received an email saying my phone was on its way - tracking number included. Got the phone back yesterday in this nice little box which included a wipe cloth, and I am more than 100% satisfied with HTC's customer service. Both cameras are looking better than ever and I can easily say I'm sticking with HTC for as long as they keep this up. This is my second HTC phone so far and the quality and build of their phones are beautiful. Throw on an OtterBox case and that thing is indestructible. I've seen the old HTC phones firsthand and they have definitely come a long way.

Now, all that's left is for me to ship the loaner phone back and I'll be all set. Ran into some issues w/ activating the phone through Sprint's site (won't recognize the IMEI serial code), so I have to go to the store and get that done before shipping the loaner out.

Here's my new sensor info if you guys are curious. Looks like it's a whole new type of sensor made by Omnivision.

Main Camera: ov ov4688 4M
Front Camera: Omnivision ov2722 2.1M

And my old one for reference:

Old Main Camera: st vd6869(1.0) cinesensor 2013-5-14

DISCLAIMER: In case you're thinking it, no I did not get paid by HTC, OtterBox, Omnivision or Sprint. Just a happy customer. This would be the wrong place to advertise anyways!
