Compared to other cultures, asian cultures gives the most fucks. They care so much about reputation and face. Asian parents always talk about their kids with other asian parents and brag about their children's achievements. If one asian parent has a better child the other ones feel left out. For instance, let's say I get into Penn State. My parents wouldn't say "im happy you got into penn state". They would say "why didn't you get into harvard, my friend's son got into harvard". They'll always find something to criticize about. A recent example is our house is clean. We learned the refrigerator repair man was gonna come over to repair the fridge. My mom spent 2 hrs cleaning the house more so the refrigerator repair man won't look down on us. First of all, we'll possibly only see him once and he won't care that our house isn't 100% clean. Is it possible to convince them not to care so much?
