Hi everyone,
I like to share something that had such huge impact to my own life and played a big part in improving myself as person.
I used to be a perfectionist, but I realised that chasing perfectionism tends to leads to disappointment.
It is something that I have noticed when I went about my work. When I used to be a perfectionist, and I was approaching an assignment or project. I kept on thinking about the outcome, the perfect outcome to be precise.
I have realised that focusing too much on the desired (perfect) outcome actually led to procrastination. I wasn't focused on my assignment. I scared by it. I didn't want to fail.
So I made a decision to simply embrace my imperfections and let go of the outcome. The result, I became more productive. I focused on the assignment itself regardless of the outcome.
So to put to bluntly, I decided to not give a fuck about the outcome..
And guess what, I managed to get it the assignment/project done.
This is just a food for thought. I actually wrote a blog post which goes into more detail. You can check it out if you like:

But seriously, stop chasing perfectionism. My experience has shown that it doesn't get you anywhere.
A really good book that I read on the subject is called "How to be an imperfections" by Stephen Guise
Thanks for reading :)
