Post Body

Hey guys, I've spend a lot of my life caring way too much about what everybody else thought of me and not a lot about what I wanted to do. This has led to different things, good and bad.

It wasn't untill I reached the tender age of 25 that I really stopped giving a lot of fucks (except when it comes to work obviously).

Story time:

Yesterday I was on the bus on my way to work. It was a regular day and I was in the same bus as always. Usually I sit in the front of the bus, since it's more convenient when get out at my stop, but today I opted for sitting in the back. Along with myself, the back of the bus was filled with a lot of young foreigners, on their way to school. As always they were being loud, almost yelling, and playing loud music from their phones. Un fortunently most people are afraid of these guys because they behavior is somewhat intimidating for the most part.

So there I was, in my seat surrounded by about ten of them and all of them speaking at a loud volume. Reading my newspaper I tried to tune them out and concentrate on the news of the day. Out of the corner of my eye I observe as one spits on the floor. In my mind I'm like 'wtf?', but I don't need them troubling me this morning, so I let it go, eventhough I'm outraged by the lack of respect on his part. Again I hear him spitting.

I turn my head towards the guy, lean in and tell him to stop that disgusting behaviour.

Him: Shut the fuck up and mind your own buisness.

Me: You're making it my buisness by spitting inside a bus, where I'm supposed to be walking. I do not want to tread in your spit.

Some of his friends: Mind your own buisness. What do you care.

I ignore them.

Me: Don't be a child, stop that shit.

He looks at me with hate in his eyes and a "I will fuck you up" look in his face.

Me: You don't scare me. Stop spitting on the floor, moron.

I return to my newspaper and a couple of minutes later the guy changes his seat to one further back in the bus. He then spits from his new seat to the same place he was spitting before and looks at me. I look at him, say "That was dumb move. I asked you to stop.". I proceed to go to the front of the bus, tell the busdriver whats going on. I follow the driver to the back of the bus, point at the guy. He of course starts swearing and yelling loudly. I help the driver escort him of the bus and return to my seat, next to his friends and thenI get of at the following stop, which is my place of work.

Me vs 10 tough guys. NGAF and winning. Had I said nothing it would have annoyed me all day. Very gratifying and I'm sure him and his friends will think twice before spitting on the bus again. If not, rinse and repeat.

NGAF is how to live your life.
