How do I plug this pipe?

I have a 1/2-inch pipe that leads to an outside spigot. the coupling froze and burst today during the freeze.
I called the city water supplier to shut off my main and then I removed the coupling. I don't really need this to run to my backyard faucet anytime soon, so I just want to plug semi-permanently.
How would I go about this?
