In season one, the episode where Ted goes to his friends wedding and asks Robin to be his date ... I hate Robin!

He mentions earlier thay he'll pick her up at 5. When he is there picking her up, she receives a call that she has to anchor the news and has to leave "right now" and Ted tells her to go. Later in the wedding, Ted tells someone that Robin couldn't make it cuz she had to anchor the 11 o'clock news. Umm what? First off, despite 11 pm being a weird news timing, why did Robin have to leave 6 hrs before the a tual broadcasting and had to cancel her plans with Ted? Please someone make this male sense. I mean I hate Robin sp far but this is just extra annoying.
