Naturalized citizenship is protected by the 14th amendment. As an American that has immigrants in the family I can tell you there’s nothing BOOM about it. In addition, it makes far more sense to immigrate to European countries or Canada where that citizenship comes with free healthcare. This isn’t going to be a legislative check on ease of citizenship, it’s going to be more ethnic profiling like the Muslim ban was. Russians are some of the worst at having anchor babies but you don’t hear that being complained about because they’re the right color. Shit, Trump’s own kids are anchor babies. This will target “shithole countries” and not having a religious test is very much enshrined in the constitution.

Trump largely lets his advisors have carte blanche. Do you seriously think he came up with the policies listed in his column? In certain areas like immigration, his advisors (see Stephen Miller’s texts) are now openly saying that they will work to reverse naturalized citizenship and repeal birthright citizenship. In his previous term, this kind of stuff would cause an uproar that he would step into because he cared about the implications for re-election. Now he won’t care whatsoever. It’s worse than the chart shows.
