Before being boo’d up, I arrive at the coffee shop early, feeling a mixture of excitement and nerves as I wait for you to arrive. As I sit and wait, I can feel my heart racing and my palms starting to sweat. I try to calm my nerves by taking deep breaths and reminding myself that this is just a casual coffee date, nothing more.
When you finally arrive, I feel a surge of relief wash over me. You smile and wave as you approach, and I stand up to greet you. We exchange polite hellos and make small talk as we head to the counter to place our orders. As usual, I opt for an iced latte, while you order your drink. We pay for our drinks and then find a cozy spot to sit and chat.
As we sip our drinks, we talk about all sorts of things - our interests, our families, our jobs. We laugh and share stories, and before we know it, hours have passed. I leave feeling happy and energized from the great conversations we had. I can't wait to see you again, and I hope our coffee date will be the first of many.
