It has been a long day of work meetings and other bs, but you somehow made it on time to pick up your kiddo. We've made eye contact a few times before, but I smile and look away. You would never approach me and I'd never approach you. But our minds wander in the same direction. I wore a suit today and you noticed. Our eyes locked a little longer than usual.
Life is ticking by. The checklist of the day is productive but hollow. You feel something is missing, but can't quite put your finger on it. Maybe this is just what life feels like as grown ups. How are you "40-50"? Where did the years go?
You crave more. Someone who understands you. The real you. Someone to get to know. Someone to care about. Your "person." Someone who can shift between convos about the meaning of life, how funny some random fact you learned two days ago, a new song that you can't get out of your head, and how much you need me, right now.
Like most everyone else here, I want to be the reason you catch yourself smiling throughout the day.
I'm loyal, loving, kind, and caring but in the best of ways. A dad of grownish kids and professional in the sales industry , my time is limited, but I'll make the time for you. I'm pretty ignored at home, so I have room in my life for what I'm missing there. Maybe you can relate.
