Over the past 6 months my wife's name has changed to Karen. It's gotten so bad that I don't want to be around her anymore. She is always crabby, and always yelling at everyone. Everyone seems to "Cross" her and she gets upset. She thinks she knows all the rules and if something doesn't go her way her idea of fixing it is to tell and scream at them.

Here is an example. We were recently on vacation and traveling from one location to another when I noticed the hotel we were 3 hours away from already charged our card and it was for $50 higher. So we called for what I thought was just to ask why they ran it early and what the extra $50 was for. When they answered she started ripping into them for running the card early and over charging. She didn't give the guy a chance to talk. I had said earlier that it was probably for incidentals and it was, but she was screaming at the guy. She then asked for the manager. The owner of the location got on the phone and she started screaming at her. The owner hung up the phone. So my wife proceeds to call the corporate line to complain. While she was on the phone the hotel called me to inform me that they cancelled our reservation and released the hold on our card. Unfortunately that hold takes 5 business days to come off so the only money we had on a card at the time was held. We had no way to get a room for the night.

I had another card that a payment I made to the card would post in the morning so we ( I ) had to go into different hotels to ask them if we could get a room and have them run my card in the morning. It was a big fat no. We did have cash and I suggested going to Walmart and getting a prepaid debit card so we could get a room for the night. She refused. I had to ask my son to send us some money to cover a room for 1 night. Then I reserved a room online and called the hotel and begged them not to charge a hold for incidentals. They agreed and we were able to get a room.

I was so pissed that night, but fighting about it would just make everyone miserable. I just played on the bed after we got settled and went to sleep.

To this day it is still the hotel's fault. Not her fault for treating them like trash.

I could use a hug from someone who isn't crabby all the time. Heck she never hugs me.
