Honestly, I live inside the loop and I am getting quite tired of the bars around the Midtown/Heights area. It is too snobby of a crowd (for the most part) for my liking, it seems like a very fraternity/sorority-type crowd that hasn't left that mindset since graduating from college. Not to mention cocktails are 8 bucks a piece. I feel like most of the crowd goes out more to try and impress each other and keep up appearances in their cliques rather than just have fun.
I have been searching for a place not too far from the Memorial Heights area (where I live) that is more of a down-to-earth hangout. I don't mind country music either, but the dance halls seem to have mostly cougars and career babymammas (most have girls have been trashy). I am looking for the glorious "in-between" of snobby and trashy to put it into simpler terms.
If anybody has info on a good place to go, age range-24-33 (I am 27) that isn't going to charge me 6 bucks for a bud light, please let me know.
If I offended anybody with the above generalizing statements, I apologize in advance, I am just stating what my observations have been for the last 3 months that I moved to this area.
Thanks as usual Reddit!
