Report your zip and general location at the beginning of your comments. Please search for your zip and post under that.
For example:

Hopefully, we can make it easier to search for regional information that way.
If you have a resource you want me to tack on to this post, tag me or send it through chat request.
Additionally, if your church or organization is offering help to the public, I'll post it on this thread, but let's follow the zip code rule.
Also, remember you're not the only one going through this and be thoughtful and empathetic to those around you and the resources you're obtaining.
Additionally, take this as an opportunity to meet your neighbors and help and check on elderly ones as this heat could be deadly for them.
Don't be a Karen.

Those that are running generators:
Please check your manuals as to when and how you need to change your oil.
In another thread, it was suggested that a change for every 24 hr run is needed.
Various pet shelters are overwhelmed and can use volunteers and funds. Please help your local one in any way possible.
If you see a pet, especially one with a collar, please take into account it escaped during the storm and their parents are looking for it and see if you can help it get back to its home.
If you need to evacuate your home due to damage, please tack into this thread or start a new one to help others go through the same process.
This should help our collective knowledge of others in the future need to do so.
I'd like more input on your personal lessons learned from this experience in how to improve your preparations for storms or similar situations.

Reminder:
Check the main post often for new information.
Don't be in a hurry to completely restock your refrigerator once you get power.
Think about your placement of your generator.
That sucks, and sorry to hear that.
Damn you!
I'm munching on a Christie's kolache, but now I want a lox and bagel.
I hate food related usernames! 😫
Ew.
Kinda makes me wonder how many people are in the same situation.
It's not even reliable to order from Jack in the box through the app right now....
We have an elderly cat (fucking die already!) that lays there motionless and have to look at it for a few seconds to see if it's still alive.
Old codger.
I kinda hate you now.
<cries while continuing to eat a kolache that lost its flavor>
The last megathread was day 8, and a handful of redditors still haven't had power. After that day, I kinda didn't keep track of it.
Maybe after the final one, we should take stock of realistic lessons learned and plans for future hurricanes, minus all the snark.
Given enough feedback, I might do that here, or put up a thread someplace else if the mods don't welcome it.
Internet has been pretty spotty lately.
I wonder if some of the equipment got damaged with not only the storms, but the fluctuations of power.
What kind of generator? So you think you killed it?
Try the red cross.

While I sorta agree with you, I'm sure the employees that work there who have no power aren't all that sympathetic to your needs.
Having known more than a few accountants, they get VERY stressed every quarter.
We got her about ten years ago, and it was estimated she was 5 years old then.
She's grown acerbic and combative towards our other creatures.
The only one who isn't scared of her is our latest acquisition of a puppy mill dog and had outlived 5 of our dogs.
I think she might outlive me!
It did in montrose for a couple of minutes.
I'm not even going to stress out and call them.
I'm sure there are plenty of Karens out there screaming at those poor call takers.
That it! Focus on the bright side of life.
<whistles>
I don't know if you're going to get an improvement on the cellular front.
It's spotty at times at home, along with various spots I've experienced while out and about.
No, I don't, but I've rarely been out of power for more than 4 days and planned accordingly.
I'm not the one that sets it that way.
Or internet.
Internet is life. The internet must flow!
From observing my wife's job, some people don't do well in challenging circumstances as opposed to others.
I think that'll probably depend on how many they can bring up at a time.
I know there are entire neighborhoods that can be brought online with a "simple" connection.
That sucks.
I always thought those were engineered to be robust and have little maintenance.
Having a bunch of them doing a stress test and failing is not cool.
They had one job.
Makes me appreciate going the powerwall route even more.
