Hey Houston fam,
I gotta talk about something serious: the mess on the Houston Metro Red Line. It’s not delays and crowded trains – it’s some real safety concerns that we can’t ignore.
I’ve seen some crazy stuff in the last week alone:
People openly lighting up joints and smoking weed like it’s a party. Homeless schizophrenics constantly harassing women on a daily basis. Fights breaking out, people yelling at each other. And yeah, I’ve even seen someone take a dump right there on the train station (McGowan). Gross, right?
The paid riders are at a disservice. We can’t just shrug this off. We deserve a safe ride to work, school, wherever we’re going. So many medical providers also ride to the TMC. So, if you’ve seen anything sketchy, let’s talk about it. We gotta make some noise and try to get things fixed. I think reporting these incidents frequently can make a difference. Things just have to change.
Edit: Reddit fam, report your incidents here let’s raise hell so the politicians take action to protect ourselves and our families: https://crm.ridemetro.org/
